I bought this to reduce glare, and it is working well to my satisfaction. I followed the advice of a reviewer of a similar product when applying and it worked really well: -clean the screen super well before you do it. (I used my own glasses cloth but they give you a teeny one too.) The more pristine the screen is, the better this will work. -apply it in a humid room like a bathroom right after a shower. Less dust in the air. -apply it starting on the long side. Use a card/credit card (or the one they give you) to smooth it bit by bit as you go. If you get a bubble, pull it back off a bit and try again. Great product.

First of all, this does not help the look of the screen. I didn’t go out in the sunlight to see if it would reduce that glare. But, it amplifies the light from the lamps in my room, you can see the bulbs reflecting back at you. With the screen off, it is back to the pleasing, diffuse light that the Nook was designed to put out (at worst it just reflects back a diffuse blob of white light from the lamp which is not a problem). As far as I can tell, there is no anti-glare value in these screens at all. I cannot understand how any of the other reviews would say that there is any benefit. It will give you reflections, which is precisely what I hoped to avoid with the E-ink system. If I wanted to see reflections I would get an LCD screen tablet / e-reader. Second, the application is not simple. I ruined one of the screens because they are both stuck together in the way it all comes together. Suffice it to say that it is just annoying. Third- Any slight mote of dust or tiny hair you may have floating in the air is going to make bubbles that will not go away. I did this with the fans in my room off, and I still got 4 different bubbles from dust. I suspect the little wipe that was included in the set contributed to the mess. Lots of reviews from the barnes and noble website are people with the same problem. About half the reviews the people had no problems with dust, about half of them did. I am going to try to live without a screen protector, as scary as that sounds to me. Solutions: Get a case for your Nook. The case on here with the best reviews now, that is the one I have, and it is a 10/10. It will not be damaged any time that it is not in use, which is probably the time it would be most likely to get scratched. Use the buttons to turn the pages unless you know your hands are clean. Don’t read somewhere where there is a risk of anything falling into your screen. Hit the screen with your knuckle if your fingers are dirty. In retrospect, the screen doesn’t seem like it was ever necessary at all. Just get a nice case.

Nice anti glare screen protector. Make sure your screen is completely clean because you only have one chance to put it on. I had a hard time retrying to put it on & thus retried & had bubbles. Otherwise the screen protector worked fine.
